Add onion & cook until tender (2-3 min. ). Stir in flour & dill. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute to remove the "floury flavor". Gradually add the broth or water & bouillon cube. Add 3 tbsp flour, garlic salt and pepper and add to meat. Continue cooking and stirring until flour begins to brown in pan. Add water and stir into mixture. Make paste of remaining 3 tbsp flour and i cup of the milk, adding milk gradually to the flour in order to prevent lumps. Add paste to the meat mixture as it cooks. Use spatula to scrape pan clean, gathering all of the browned bits into the mixture. Add remaining milk, beef bouillon, and mushrooms and cook about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Ground Beef Stroganoff (Like Hamburger Helper) Ingredients: beef, grass-fed, ground, raw egg substitute, powder butter, without salt wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched beef, grass-fed, ground, raw water, bottled, generic cream, sour, cultured mustard, prepared, yellow Directions: Brown beef and drain. Cook egg noodles according to package directions (or use my recipe for homemade noodles). Set aside. In a small cup, dissolve bullion granules in boiling water or use 1 1/2c. hot beef broth. Melt butter in medium sauce pan. Add in all-purpose flour and whisk until smooth. Add hot broth and stir continuously while simmering for 3-4 minutes. After butter mixture resembles gravy, remove from heat and stir in sour cream and mustard. Place beef and noodles in pan and stir to coat with gravy. Heat thoroughly, but don't boil. Enjoy! Add the beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned. Stir in the onion soup mix. Add 1/2 cup water and the mushrooms, including their juice. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to the package directions. When the noodles are done, drain them. Mix the sour cream into the meat mixture and stir until warm. Toss the noodles with the remaining 1 tablespoon butter and the parsley and serve the beef mixture on top. Source Archive

You will still be able to see red. Remove from pan and set aside in a rimmed dish or baking sheet so that you collect the juices. Return the pan to medium-high heat and cook the shallots and mushrooms in remaining butter until soft and wilted, about 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch into cold beef broth, whisk to blend. Pour into pan, and stir together with shallots and mushrooms until thickened, two or three minutes. Add sour cream and mustard, stir to blend. Add the beef and cook 10 more minutes. Add the beef stock and simmer for 30 minutes. Mix the flour and all seasonings with the sour cream and slowly stir into the meat mixture.
